Vote David Wilson

David:
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for your involvement with the city on these important issues. I know you are not the only valuable volunteer, but your interest in these two things has struck me as being particularly important to Kyle's future.

While transportation issues are at the forefront right now, and you have worked hard to keep them there, it is the future of water availability that is most important to the sustainability of our community. Your work with the Water Advisory Committee and ultimately the creation of the Public Utility Agency will bare {sic} the greatest fruit over the long-term.You should be proud of your efforts!

- Former Hays County Judge Eddy Etheredge

David Wilson has long been a part of the positive accomplishments by the City of Kyle as an active citizen.  He supported the Mayor, City Council and City Staff by serving on important committees, attending meetings regularly, and personally addressing critical issues. He has enjoyed with us the wonderful experience and accomplishments that we enjoy today. He was always in support of smart growth for our city, supported the Police and Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, supported attracting business to our city and was not afraid to speak up on controversial issues. He was with us during our success with the H.E.B., the FM 1626 improvements and Seton Hospital. I watched him support the city during its growing pains. He is the man for the job as he is in tune with what is going on in the city.

- Former Kyle Mayor James Adkins

As a former Mayor, I see qualities in David Wilson that would be good for Kyle. I see no agenda or personal attention or gain in his work as a citizen. I have heard statements from David that he is not running against anyone but rather for the position. I consider this to be an outstanding trait for a city council member. I would encourage all of the voters of District 4 to vote for this candidate.

- Former Kyle Mayor Ed Winn

David Wilson would make an excellent candidate for City Council. He knows the issues facing our city and will work hard to solve our problems. I just can’t understand why he has waited so long to run for the City Council. But I am excited that he has finally decided to do so because he can make so many positive changes for our City.

- Citizen and Planning/Zoning Committee member Lila Knight

David Wilson and I have worked on several projects, ideas and committees. He is a person that knows what he wants and goes after it. I have heard him talking and working with other people and when he gives his word you can believe that it will be done.

The one thing that I can say about David is that "I believe him to be an honest man."

- J.P. " Pete" Krug, former Mayor of Kyle

Over the last eight years, I have had the pleasure to visit with David and at times work with him on special issues or events.  [He is] ...a rare commodity, a qualified candidate.

For most voters qualifications no doubt include the basics: educated, willing to serve, knowledgable about municipal government, etc.  For me; however, I believe David is qualified for qualites that exceed the basics.  While David may not agree with me or others, he consistently opens himself to discussion, truely listening to what is being said.  He genuinely considers the information and even pursues additional resources to make an informed decision, that while it may not be the decision I preferred, was genuinely the best for the circumstances.  I have found he does not rush to judgement and values other people which is vital when representing [others].  I applaud David for taking the time from his life to serve me and the citizens of Kyle .  Through the years the City Council has had their share of issues in regards to decisions that are made without consideration for the "all" or in an effort to better serve the "some".

I sincerely hope David's candidacy results in his placement on the Council where I know all voices will be heard equally and results will be made - by David Wilson, a qualified candidate.
